“Stroke: memories falling into a black hole” was a cornerstone in his artistic development. In this work, feelings are an integral part, because the building process was done shortly after her grandmother suffered a stroke. At that moment, Marta concentrated on how death mechanisms work in the brain and the universe, as these have been found to be similar to destruction mechanisms inside a black hole. According to some theories, this black hole is connected through a wormhole to another place in the universe. called a white hole. This white hole is the antithesis of the previous one. In this sense, where there was destruction, now there is creation. In the analogy between the brain and the universe, we can suspect that with lost memories the same could happen: they could go to another place in the world.universe and create new memories.
Formally, the work has the form that a brain scan drawing would have as it exceeds the event horizon of a hole black. The drawing begins to collapse but the information and memory begin to travel to another part of the universe where it will create new matter and
Energy. In this work he used flanges for the first time, which have gradually become one of the most distinguishable elements of the work of Marta Pinilla.

“Stroke: memories falling into a black hole” fue una piedra angular en su desarrollo artístico. En este trabajo, los sentimientos son una parte integral, porque el proceso de construcción se realizó poco después de que su abuela sufriera un derrame cerebral. En ese momento, Marta se concentró en cómo funcionan los mecanismos de muerte en el cerebro y el universo, ya que se ha descubierto que estos son similares a los mecanismos de destrucción dentro de un agujero negro. Según algunas teorías, este agujero negro está conectado a través de un agujero de gusano con otro lugar del universo llamado agujero blanco. Este agujero blanco es la antítesis del anterior. En este sentido, donde hubo destrucción, ahora hay creación.Si creemos en la analogía entre el cerebro y el universo, podemos sospechar que con los recuerdos perdidos podría suceder lo mismo: podrían ir a otro lugar del universo y crear nuevos recuerdos.

Formalmente, la obra tiene la forma que tendría un dibujo de un escáner cerebral en el momento en que supera el horizonte de sucesos de un agujero negro. El dibujo comienza a colapsar pero la información y la memoria comienzan a viajar a otra parte del universo donde creará nueva materia y energía. En este trabajo utilizó por primera vez bridas, que paulatinamente se han convertido en uno de los elementos más distinguibles del trabajo de Marta Pinilla.
