What would the art world be like if it happened in a parallel universe? Could the universe be related to baroque art? In “Baroque Sacred Cosmology” an answer to these questions is sought and is a continuation of Multiverse and Armor / Love. As with Armor / Amor, this project sought to represent various parts of the artist’s personality. On the one hand, his love for baroque imagery, and on the other hand, the values ​​of the baroque, such as the representation of passions and inner feelings, the search for contrast and feeling and tension.

It is a project that has two parts, on the one hand a photography exhibition where a series of artists recreate classic, medieval and baroque works with the characteristic costumes created by Marta Pinilla. Among these works we can highlight the Descent of Van der Weyden or the Pietà. On the other hand, a performative installation has been made, where the space is divided into a series of rooms, each one inhabited by one or more artists who perform an action showing an aspect of the artist’s personality. Each room has an atmosphere of its own, with sound created expressly for it by artist Rev Silver. In some rooms, you can watch videos created by the artist.

¿Cómo sería el mundo del arte si sucediera en un universo paralelo? ¿Podría el universo relacionarse con el arte barroco? En “Baroque Sacred Cosmology” se busca dar una respuesta a esas preguntas y supone una continuación de Multiverso y Armor/Amor. Al igual que sucede con Armor/Amor, en este proyecto se buscó dar representación diversas partes de la personalidad de la artista. Por un lado, su amor por la imaginería barroca, y por el otro lado, los valores propios del barroco como son la representación de las pasiones y los sentimientos interiores, la búsqueda del contraste y el sentimiento y la tensión.

Se trata de un proyecto que tiene dos partes, por un lado una exposición de fotografías donde una serie de artistas recrean obras clásicas, medievales y barrocas con los trajes característicos creados por Marta Pinilla. Entre esas obras podemos destacar el Descendimiento de Van der Weyden o la Piedad. Por otro lado, se ha realizado una instalación performativa, donde se divide el espacio en una serie de habitaciones, cada una habitada por uno o varios performers que realizan una acción mostrando un aspecto de la personalidad de la artista. Cada habitación tiene una atmósfera propia, con sonido creado expresamente para la misma por el artista Rev Silver. En algunas salas, se pueden observar vídeos creados por la artista.
