Mentirosa (2020) Performance artística.

Según las estadísticas, la mayoría de las personas que sufren estrés post traumático son mujeres. Muchas de ellas han sufrido abuso sexual. El deseo de encajar en la sociedad, la culpa o la vergüenza, les hace callar y adoptar una postura de falsa alegría ante la sociedad, sintiéndose que están mintiendo o engañando continuamente. En el video “Mentirosa” Marta Pinilla, toma una imagen hipersexualizada de mujer. Vestida de latex, y con tacones de más de 15 centímetros baila reaggeton con una sonrisa exagerada, mostrándose como una pantomina de si misma, a la vez que diferentes datos sobre la violencia sexual y de género aparecen en la pantalla. Como es habitual en sus obras, Marta muestra esta dicotomía entre lo que se ve y lo que quiere transmitir.

Statistics alone, the majority of people who suffer from post traumatic stress disorder are women. Many of them have suffered sexual abuse. The desire to fit into society, guilt or shame, makes them shut up and adopt a posture of false joy before society, feeling that they are continuously lying or cheating. In the video “Mentirosa” Marta Pinilla takes a hypersexualized image of a woman. Dressed in latex, and with heels of more than 15 centimeters, she dances reggeton with an exaggerated smile, showing herself as a pantomime of herself, while different data on sexual and gender violence appear on the screen. As is usual in her works, Marta shows this dichotomy between what is seen and what she wants to convey.
