EN: Marta Pinilla (Soria, 1980) is a multidisciplinary artist with studies in art and science. After graduating from Biology and Fine Arts at the University Complutense de Madrid, she completed her studies with a master’s degree in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins. She currently combines teaching Biology with its artistic practice.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally, in countries such as China, Uruguay, United Kingdom, Italy or Switzerland, where he has participated in exhibitions individual and collective, biennials (such as the WTA biennale in Uruguay and Madrid or the Fiber Art Bienal in Shenzhen) and artistic residencies (it is possible highlight Lumen in Italy or The CUBE of London). Where she has received awards such as Zealous prize or Fiber art photography prize.
She has collaborated with various institutions to carry out Art and Science projects such as The Royal Society of Science, The Wellcome Collection, UCLA Water Bodies, Medialab Prado or the international cooperation agency. She is currently part of the research group “Art and embodied cognition in creative processes: Ecological awareness of the self in the environment” of the Complutense University of Madrid and actively collaborates with the creation group“ Hospital de Artistas ”of The Juan Gallery where many projects have been developed such as Party Warhol, Instant Installation or La Trapzuela.

Marta Pinilla (Soria, 1980) es una artista pluridisciplinar con estudios en arte y en ciencia. Tras graduarse de Biología y Bellas Artes en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, completó sus estudios con un máster en Arte y Ciencia en Central Saint Martins. Actualmente compagina la docencia deBiología con su práctica artística.
Ha expuesto de manera nacional e internacional, en países como China, Uruguay, Reino Unido, Italia o Suiza, donde ha participado en exposiciones individuales y colectivas, bienales (como la WTA bienale en Uruguay y Madrid o la Fiber Art Bienal en Shenzhen) y residencias artísticas (cabe destacar Lumen en Italia o The CUBE of London). Actualmente forma parte del grupo de investigación “Arte y cognición corporeizada en los procesos de creación: Sensibilización ecológica del yo en el entorno” de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y colabora activamente con el grupo de creación “Hospital de Artistas” de La Juan Gallery donde se han desarrollado muchos proyectos como Party Warhol, Instalación instantánea o la Trapzuela.
