Shelter. (2018) Acción performativa.

“Shelter” es una acción realizada durante la residencia artística La Juanhaus. Aquí, como en otras ocasiones, se vuelve a utilizar la idea de los trajes armaduras. En este caso, se construyó una guarida en la vegetación del Alberche, utilizando plantas de ribera y bridas, una vez que se hubo realizado, este abrigo se taló y se utilizó como refugio portátil. La artista se hizo un traje con el cual se protegía y con el que deambulaba por el pueblo de Hormigos situando así una barrera entre ella y el mundo. Se establecía así una metáfora a través de la cual, cada uno crea un refugio privado con el cual nos protegemos de los posibles ataques de los otros.

Se vuelve a jugar con algunos de los tópicos mas recurrentes en la obra de Marta Pinilla, como nacimiento y resurrección, empoderamiento, barrera y protección.

“Shelter” is an action carried out during the La Juanhaus artistic residency. Here, as on other occasions, the idea of ​​armor suits is used again. In this case, a shelter was built in the vegetation of the Alberche, using riverside plants and cable ties. Once it had been made, this shelter was cut down and used as a portable shelter. The artist made a suit with which she protected herself and with which she wandered through the town of Hormigos, thus placing a barrier between her and the world. Thus, a metaphor was established through which, each one creates a private refuge with which we protect ourselves from the possible attacks of the others.
